This Month’s Report Details:
In September, I came up flat with no realized returns. I didn’t sell any stocks, but I did manage to buy some Deere & Co. (DE) shares when they started taking a dive. At this point, Deere along with a majority of other companies’ prices have continued to decline this month. However, I’m not too concerned. These lower prices have brought about many more bargains and I always remind myself that unrealized gains mean nothing. It’s the realized gains that are “money in pocket”. Therefore, I will be holding my good companies and waiting for the stocks to climb back up to my desired selling prices.
September was another declining month for U.S. traded stocks as the market ended in negative numbers overall. Some factors that affected this month’s added volatility were China’s continued economic problems, bottom-feeder prices for oil companies, and the anticipation of the FED to raise interest rates.

Why do I post this information online?
I do it for 3 main reasons:
1. To be transparent.
I like to be up-front and show you that I’m a real person who actually invests in the stock market.
2. It’s nice to brag about good months and get positive feedback during those not-so-good months.
3. I hate being told that I can’t do something and stock investing is just another area where people have told me: “You couldn’t possibly do well. What do you know about stocks?” etc.
I want to prove that everyday people like myself can take control of their own finances, start investing with a common-sense approach, and produce better than average results.
